Mingary Castle Scotland – Official Promotional Video

Mingary Castle, also known as “Caisteal Mhìogharraidh”, was built around the late 13th century.

Nowadays you can fine-dine and relive the essence of long forgotten tales in this historic setting.

Thanks to the owners Jess and Colin, we can be transported to a world of peace and calm surrounded by breathtaking views, exquisite cuisine, and the highest standards of hospitality.

Right from the beginning, we were struck by the passion and the love that the Mingary Castle team puts into the smallest details – perfecting each meal, room, and experience.

We are proud and so excited to share the Mingary Castle promotional video with you.

Lean back and immerse yourself… “The Destination” is calling!

Caisteal Mhìogharraidh

Overlooking the sea, it was considered a strategically important site in terms of communication with overseas areas and as an entranceway to the Sound of Mull.
Mingary’s position on the seafront meant it held key naval and military significance and King James IV was said to have used it as a stronghold for fighting off Clan Donald in the late 15th century.
